On-Air Personalities

Buzz Browning is General Manager of WWSA. He joined the station in the first months it went on the air. His broadcast career began in the early 70’s working for his hometown radio station WHJC in Matewan, WV.

He has held several positions at other stations, such as WBTH/ WXCC in Williamson, WV, WPRT in Prestonsburg, KY, and came to St Albans in 1979 to work at WKLC. 

He hosted the first “Live” broadcast on WWSA and now produces three weekly programs, The Saturday Morning Radio Show, and Gospel Classics, and hosts the stations public affairs program “Lunch Time Live” on Wednesdays, speaking with area mayors and people from civic organizations.

Buzz also is a musician and plays several musical intsruments and has been in several area local bands. He also hosts a monthly show on WWSA that showcases the talents of other local musicians and carried live on the air. Buzz continues to oversee the daily operations of WWSA and hopes that the oldies format they present will keep listeners coming back for more.
