Dick Callaway

Dick Callaway, founder, and Chief Operating Officer of WWSA has been a professional broadcaster for over 60 years. He is a member of the WV Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame since 2014.
Dick has served as President of the WV Associated Press Broadcaster’s Association. Early in his career, he created, developed, coordinated, and taught a curriculum in Broadcasting Technology for post-secondary and college students in WV.
He has owned and operated three commercial radio stations and was one of the founders of WVPB, one of the first 50,000-watt public broadcasting stations in the State.
In 2016, while serving as the Mayor of St. Albans, Dick established WWSA, the community-operated non-commercial public service radio station. Dick hopes that you enjoy the hometown music that brings back memories on WWSA 96.9.
